Style Guide: Florals and Corals

It's been a while hasn't it! Well I hope everyone is doing great! So let's talk about what's going on the season in fashion! :) It's that time of year to bring out those floral tops, dresses and even jeans! Another trend going on this season is the color coral, which adds quite a sophisticated look to your outfit! :) Here are a few more style tips for this seasons fashion:

1. Floral Top:
So a floral top is a complete must have in any girls closet. I makes an    outfit girly, it just shouts summer, and also adds a delicate look to the outfit.

2. Shorts:
High waisted shorts have been one of the top fashion trends for quite sometime now and are probably going to stick around for a little while longer, so definitely coral high waisted shorts are a must have for your wardrobe.

3. Oxfords:
These shoes are super duper cute! They add a vintage look to any outfit and really dresses up the outfit even if you where them with a pair of jeans!

4. Leather Bag:

Love having a leather bag especially when it has a vintage look to it!

5. Jewelry:
This season having the right jewelry to add to your outfit can make all the difference. Beaded bracelets and flower earrings definitely make your outfit stand out!

The Treasure of Wisdom

Outfit of the day:
-Shirt: Cutest top ever!! ok maybe not ever but I'm loving those colored shirts at the moment!
Especially when the shirt is made of chiffron! I mean honestly, it's summer, you want to stay
cool, the last thing you want is to put on something that'll make you sweat too much! This
fabric is totally in and will definitely help you stay cool!
-Shorts: High wasted shorts are just about the must-have item for your summer closet! It
gives you that retro look as well as making you look absolutely fit and cute!

Verse of the day:
"Cry out for wisdom, and beg for understanding. Search for it like silver and hunt for it like
 hidden treasure." Proverbs 2: 3-4

Have you ever met a person with a great intellect, who always has a great
story to tell about the latest books they've read or talks about the latest current events
as if they themselves were the reporters? Well my dear friend then you have
probably felt a secret yearning inside
to be like that person yourself, why? Because that person (believe it or not) has influence
and a captivating essence in them you just can't explain... In a nutshell that's the beauty of
having wisdom, of being a wise, intellectual human being! You feel great about yourself
because you've got that intelligent quality, you know that you'll be admired for your wisdom
and that's one of the great reasons the author of Proverbs wrote that you should "cry out for
wisdom, and beg for understanding"! Wisdom truly is like a great hidden treasure that once
found will enrich your life with blessings like never before! So "how do I get this much desired
wisdom?" you ask yourself "If it's that great of a treasure it's probably completely out of
my reach" and that my friend is where your wrong! When searching for wisdom you should
look no further than Jesus who is more than willing to supply it to you. In the book of James
it is written " But if any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He is generous to
everyone, and will give you wisdom without criticizing you"(James 1:5). It's really that
simple!!By definition wisdom is "The quality of having experience, knowledge and good
judgment." and that is exactly what Christ is prepared to give to those who ask, so ask
and you shall receive! :)

No Problem Too Big...

Outfit of the Day: So today's outfit to me is extremely warm.. Warm as in color scheme that is and I absolutely love it!! I know I know I say I love all my outfits, but it's true!! This one just brightens up my
day when I wear it... The red gives a great contrast to the light brown jacket which just pops out and
screams "hello world! I'm having such a wonderful day!" :) this is the outfit to wear whenever you're
feeling great, healthy, beautiful, whatever!! Oh and might I add aren't those just the cutest vintage shoes
ever! :) Ok now I'm done haha

Verse of the Day: "Come to me, all you who are tired and have heavy loads, and I will give you rest."Mathew 11:28

Oh Rest... that word just soothes my soul... Oh Rest... that word is just such a relaxing thought... It's true, and I know, life can get pretty insane and there's no stopping or controlling certain events and obstacles that all stack up against us, however, as in this great and inspiring Bible verse Jesus gives us complete and total rest... how you ask? well you have to cast all your issues to Him, tell Him every single thing that's bothering you and have the confidence inside that He's listening and He promises to give you a break from all the craziness!! Isn't that just the greatest thought ever! The fact of the matter is all that I said is true, but as humans we don't really stop thinking of our problems, we say that we know Christ is handling everything but we don't have our complete faith in His word, so I tell you today three simple steps to take that you can even write down on post-its and post them everywhere you go often like your room, the bathroom, etc.... and they are "Pray,Have Patience, and Persevere"

Pray: Give all your concerns to Christ, all that bothers you, just tell Him how you're feeling and ask Him to help ease things out.

Patience: Our timing isn't God's timing, and God makes everything beautiful in it's own time (and that's a promise God gives us in His word) ;)

Persevere: Lastly, persevere in Life, If a situation looks too hard just remember that nothing is impossible for God :)

So Pray, Have Patience, and Persevere! Watch God open doors for you that you never thought possible :D

Lead an Exciting Life!

Update: Hey Guys!! So I've been out for a while with all of the craziness of the holiday season, school finals, and soo much more going on haha but I'm back and Fashionista will be better than ever! Y'all just gotta wait and see!! I've got new plans for Fashionista in the Sea for 2012!! all new video series, tutorials, outfits, and even some interviews!! So stay on the look out :D

Outfit of the Day:
So like with every outfit I wear I LOVE this one!! The white blazer contrasts perfectly with the deep red/wine color in the sweater dress!! The pearls add such a classy touch and the feather headband adds a little edge to the whole outfit because you never want to look too serious :p So pretty much this outfit is perfect to where out on a date with that special someone, or a walk around the mall with you're friends!!

Verse of the Day:
"...There is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work, because that is his lot."- Ecclesiastes 3:22
Optimistically speaking, we all want to find that place of satisfaction in our lives, where with the gifts and talents we've been given, we can make a living of it. One of the things God wants more than anything for us is for us to enjoy what we do in life...and so you're probably saying "But you don't understand Nicolle, my life is so boring, nothing interesting happens, it's just the same old business, same old routine everyday and nothing ever changes!" and I completely understand, however what this verse is saying is that if you just find a way to simply enjoy what you do in life be it work, school, etc., you'll see how life will simply smile right back at you... But maybe you need some motivation... so motivate yourself! Set goals for where you want to be at work, school, socially, everywhere! You're destined for success but you just gotta get into the right mindset, Remember that Christ came to give us life and life in abundance, so start living the life designed for you and you'll see how your days will brighten up. :D

So Laugh!!!

Video of the Day

Verse of the Day: "This is the day the LORD has made. Let us be glad and rejoice in it!" Psalm 118:24

So this weekend has been just about beautiful! The weather has been perfect (and by that I mean not too cold, not too hot, and no humidity what-so-ever :D) Just about everything has been great and sooo I have many reasons to rejoice in the day that the LORD has made I'm alive and Healthy, I have great friends and a family that loves me, and I have Jesus as my LORD and Savior which is the best thing anyone could possibly have :D Soooo like the video above you should laugh and be happy :) enjoy your life! treasure the great moments and forget about the bad ones.... hang around those who are great influences and be a great influence to those who may not be one themselves... Have fun, but  don't forget also to have great responsibility for just like there is a time to laugh, there is also a time to be serious :)

                                                                Outfit of the Day

So where do I begin hmmmmm.... well like I said in the video  this outfit is soooo 60's and the 60's are really in right now.... It's also getting quite cold outside which is perfect to pull out those knee-high socks you have or purchase some for yourself :) the cardigan (or blazer however you like to call it) is a must-have because it just looks so vintage yet it keeps you warm (I say vintage because lately I have been enjoying the vintage look very much :) It just makes me appreciate the different era's of style that's been around for ages (I guess that's the best way I can really put it) haha well hope you're enjoying the Fashionista in The Sea and make sure to check back regularly for the latest beauty and style tips :) God Bless :)

Discipline...

Outfit of the Day: I am absolutely in LOVE with pearls!!! They make any outfit so elegant and dressy, no matter how casual you make be dressed... This outfit really does seem very summery but trust me, according to the latest fashionistas out there, Orangish tones are the way to go for fall... Pretty much bright colors are still in :) so stock up on your brights, Hey you might even recycle some outfits from this past summer!! :D

Verse of the Day: “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Phillipians 4:13
Discipline doesn't always mean punishment for wrong doing, sometimes discipline is used to help us learn... Like for example, a ballerina must have discipline and is taught with discipline to master the art, she may complain about her ballet instructor, the hard techniques they make the ballerina , however come performance time, the ballerina's presentation is perfect, she receives a standing ovation! Why? Because of discipline. If the instructor hadn't been so harsh, her motivation wouldn't persist... God also Disciplines us like so, to help us grow, give us life experience, strengthen us, etc... Christ has great and beautiful plans for each of our lives, He never gives us anything He knows we won't have strength to pass through, that is why we go through different seasons of trials in our lives, so we may be strengthened by them for the future, and to also comfort others that may have gone through the same thing...I for one trust in the promises Christ gives me, that He will never leave me nor forsake me, He will give me strength to do what I feel is impossible, and that He will give us more than we can ever ask for or imagine when we ask Him … So trust what Christ says, don't complain in the midst of trials, but give thanks and pray in every storm for, Christ always gives us a way out... and remember discipline isn't always punishment, Discipline gives you Character :)

Hope!

Outfit of the Day:
I really love button up shirts and olive green is a big hit for the fall so I think those two made a great combination :) don't you think? *Remember you can always dress up any outfit by putting on extravagant jewelry or dress down an outfit by wearing little to no jewelery :) just thought I'd let you girls know about that little hint :)

Verse of the Day: “When a believing person prays, great things happen.” James 5:16

It's amazing how much hope is found in Christ Jesus. I mean honestly why do we hope in God? Because God is always faithful. Thinking back to the toughest moments in life we see God's hand in every situation, orchestrating events to “work all things for the good of those who love Him.”(Romans 8:28). That's wonderful to know that ALL things WORK out for the GOOD!!! doesn't that give you hope? It's an overwhelming sense of joy knowing that although I might not understand why certain things are happening right now I know that everything is going to work out...Just Remember:When a believing person prays, great things happen (James 5:16) :)

Just a Prayer Away....

Outfit of the Day:
I am in LOVE with this dress!!! I mean whoever said stripes can't work an outfit has never worn this dress haha especially with the white/cream blazer! Again Blazers are the “it” item for this Fall season and girlies they are just about EVERYWHERE!! and has anyone noticed my new hair do? Well I've been looking on all the latest fashion magazines and the “it” hairstyle's contain bangs...so I decided being a fashionista and all I would get me some bangs and BAM I definitely did haha so go out and get yourselves some bangs and blazers!! and have fun!!

Verse of the Day: “ ...you should say 'If the LORD wants, we will live and do this or that.'” James 4:15

Sometimes listening and obeying can be two very difficult things to put together in life... we may listen to advice or a comment however following what we heard is at times quite difficult... do you want to know why? I'll tell you why! :p it's because we WANT things to work out the way WE want them to, on our own time, so we tend to force things to happen and when they don't, we put more and more pressure on ourselves to make it work... Honestly wouldn't it be so much easier to let someone else do all the work for us. Make things work out for the better...at the right time...at the right place? Well let me refer you to someone who can... His name is Jesus Christ and you can get a hold of Him by just a prayer.... Yep He's just a prayer away... the best part is He'll never put you on hold, He'll never ignore your call... and He knows exactly what it is you want and need before you even ask Him... Amazing!! Right!! Best part is that Jesus isn't to good to be true! He's real! He loves! He's always there! Now that's something to ponder on... but yeah I get it you're reading this and saying to your self “this is too simple, and I want my situation resolved now! Not later!” listening is easy but praying and well... waiting is not so much... But once you put it in your head that you don't know what's coming up in the future, and you don't have the power or the control to make things happen the way you want... you'll soon realize Jesus is the one you need... So try it! Call Him and tell Him you're desires, but just remember this one very wise quote I once heard “You wish for things, but only God knows what's right for you and what it is that you indeed need.”
